The vision for my business began with my personal need for inspiration, instruction and guidance for my self care. I learned that is was not too late to begin taking care of ME. Baby steps, slow, steady and careful direction in meeting your goals is my specialty. Begin taking the best care of YOU!
Many of us find it easy to criticize ourselves. I’m too weak, too overweight, lazy. . . .and the list goes on. I want to be a part of your journey to recognizing your success. Success in self care is a very individualized concept. Don’t compare yourself to others, but find the joy in working toward and watching your progress.
The only way that change can happen is if we make it a life long goal. Finding the best way to take good care of ourself is a forever journey. Eating to nourish our bodies, exercising in the way that best meets our physical needs, and loving ourselves. Take a new look at what you want your future to look like, and then BEGIN!!
In the past, I have tried various options for fitness training, public gyms, group training/classes etc. I was never motivated enough to continue with these options. Then, I partnered up with Sherry at Cater Fitness in the Fall of 2017. Sherry’s knowledge and experience offered me a a comfortable, safe & private environment for my workouts. Sherry helps me to visualize and turn into reality my goals for now and into the future.
It was 2015, I had been overeating for years. The pounds kept coming. Then my Mom got sick with cancer and I went through a nasty divorce. After the fact I realized I emotional ate my way through 2015… and I was spent… emotionally, physically, spiritually, etc. I was also over 200 lbs!!! I went to Cater Fitness to simply feel better. It wasn’t about losing weight, just to feel better. Sherry’s gentle, supportive nurturing was invaluable. I kept showing up and she kept nurturing me… within 6 months I’d dropped considerable weight BUT I also was beginning to feel so much better! I was stronger, healthier and happier. Sometimes in life you just need a boost… Cater Fitness was my boost… and I’m still at it after 6 years. It’s my personal health insurance plan!!!
As a client with Cater Fitness, I have become increasingly healthier with improved fitness. My journey started 5 years ago when I got the courage to go see Sherry. With her guidance, I have become confident doing strength training and balance. Cater Fitness is the best decision I have ever made for myself.
Cater Fitness has meant so much to me for such a long time. I walked through the doors 12+ years ago & despite life, injuries & setbacks Sherry has remained such a positive light in my world! Getting healthier in such a comfortable & positive space is life changing! This is not your cookie cutter studio: it is a supportive, wonderful place that I look forward to being at every week. I have been training with sherry for over 11 years now. She is absolutely amazing and can’t say enough good things about her. Beyond the fact that she’s truly a lovely person and such a pleasure to be around she also knows exactly how to push and challenge use through all different stages of life. I was able to work out during both my pregnancies and I truly feel that that’s what helped me recover faster after having c-sections. The best thing I did was to start exercising with Sherry! I lost weight, have energy and balance. Not bad for a 76 year old lady!

I have been working out at Cater Fitness since 05/2015. Prior to connecting with Sherry, I started and failed both nutrition programs and work out gyms over and over-the typical on and off again cycle. It was frustrating and disappointing to take one step forward and 2 back..
When my friend and I started with Sherry we started a forever journey.
Sherry had a comprehensive intake discussion to understand our desires, goals and paths (yes I said path(s)) to get to our future state. This included nutrition and exercise. She also conducted our first session in a methodical fashion to gage our activity levels. From that day forward, I have changed my nutrition habits and stayed with an exercise program 3 times a week-never wavering or doubting my course. I said paths because I have lost weight and inches and felt wonderful! But I have also gained back ..
Sherry will tweak and change exercise programs to keep the workouts interesting , focus on certain body parts and boost enthusiasm when I gain. She is an excellent listener and is always encouraging while making you feel accountable to yourself. She has a wealth of knowledge in the nutrition and education space as well as over 15 years experience. She is always positive, motivating and encouraging.
She has safety at top of mind and watches to ensure you are executing the exercises correctly.
Sherry has personally changed my life and I will forever be grateful. I strongly recommend Sherry at Cater Fitness to anyone wanting to change their life to a healthy one.
